I have a 8.25 (steep) skateboard deck. What is the best street set up for it ? Trucks and wheels?

low trucks are lighter with lower center of gravity. high trucks better turning but heavier. i'd much prefer low trucks since i skate street and i can alwayls just lift and pivot the nose to turn anyways.

Hey i just learned a primo trick and i have no idea what it's called! Wondering if you could help me out? It starts in cooper stance and that's all I've been able to figure out so far. But basically you push down on the nose so that the whole board flips up and over, almost doing like a nollie varial heelflip rotation, and then land back on four wheels. These tricks are so obscure I'm thinking about giving it my own name lmao

Does every width require its own mold or can you get a range of widths from a mold?

I love this! I got into board making last year, and I stumbled onto this channel, Manak’s and Chris’. I think the interviews are really cool, because now I get to know y’all a little more. And everyone’s channels are what inspired me to create my channel, where I combine skating with my own set of skills, being therapy (mental health). Hearing Johnny talk about his substance use and how he manage it, turning to a healthy hobby, was amazing to hear.

I just started learning freestyle and these are definitely giving me trouble. I saw some other videos that said everything you did but added a step. They said to simultaneously scooping the tail. Thoughts?

I’m speaking a little out of school here BUT I just started back after a loooooong time off and I decided to learn freestyle along with getting back my street skating. So far I am finding the freestyle setup I got (waltz 7.6 bixbie II) to be too cramped and find footwork to be far easier on my street hybrid set up (offset wheels and I always liked my trucks tight). It is a smaller street deck at 7.75x31 but I can’t imagine more room making footwork harder so I think it would these would be fine on a long board. The concave doesn’t seem to make any difference. I do not have large feet. 7

Hi. Thank you for the great Video and everything! I have a question about the Nose and Tail measurements. If I drill the hole pattern for the trucks in the Old School Style or in the New School Style (like in this video), i got different measurement results.... So when I buy an Old School Deck whith old school hole pattern, an the Deck specific is for example : tail 6.8 inch, how do they measure? Its just fantastic what we can do at home now. 20yrs ago we made concrete molds from handcarved foam or clay modeled positives. Now I am printing molds for carbon surffoils on the 3D printer or carve them from MDF on the CNC. Also the whole design process (or ripping the 3D models from the manufacturers if you are lazy) has changed so much. 25 yrs ago I designet my first fiberglass squirt Kayak in Autocad which really was a pita. Now I am using Rhino3D to finish molds and parts in hours instead of weeks...
